Last Friday our friends at Kings Food Market in Bedminster, New Jersey celebrated their grand re-opening after undergoing a five month long renovation.  According to Kings President Judy Spires, the store neither closed nor saw a decrease in profits during the renovation. Guests of the event included the Mayor of Bedminster Robert Holtaway, the aforementioned President of Kings Food Markets Judy Spires, and Caroline Manzo of Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Francesco, Emiliano and Enzo were on hand to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening along with store staff, corporate employees and various food product representatives, and Emiliano worked alongside Kings/Balduccis chefs Jason and Joe as they put their new oven to the test. The Bedminster store is home to one of our most unique designs yet, a Neapolitan Marra Forni oven tiled completely in stainless steel. Together the chefs worked tirelessly to provide free Neapolitan pizza samples to the numerous store patrons at Kings that day. The pizza was a highlight of the event, even though there were a great many samples of delicious Kings products to choose from. The early afternoon marked the official Grand Opening with speeches from Judy Spires, store manager Kathy Fiduccia, and Robert Holtaway, followed by a “ribbon” cutting ceremony featuring a ribbon consisting of fresh homemade Kings pasta noodles. There was extensive coverage by local media; you can peruse The Daily Record’s summary of the event here, and a write-up from Supermarket News here. Kudos to Matthew Kaufman and his team at Spill Milk Studios as well for including us in a video montage of the day’s events.
